Jim Ward lent his voice to many cartoons and video games, but was best known for voicing characters on Nickelodeon's The Fairly OddParents and in the video game Resident Evil. He passed away on Wednesday, December 10, his wife Janice confirmed in a statement to US media.

It was reported that the voice actor was being treated at Los Angeles at Silverado Beverly Place Memory Care, where he passed away from complications related to Alzheimer's. He also had to give up work in 2021 after a severe form of Covid left him unable to continue voice acting.
