South Wales Police are at the scene of a "serious collision." Here's what we know so far.

The accident has taken place on the A473 in Bridgend.

The road is currently closed in both directions between the Sony roundabout to the college campus roundabout at Pencoed.

This is to allow for officers to safely recover the vehicles.

Police say the road is expected to remain closed for some time.

It is advising people to "please avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible."

A statement adds: "We're grateful for your patience."
