The 39-year-old was fired by Michigan on Wednesday , with the university claiming to have found evidence of a relationship with a staffer. He has since landed himself in police custody .

The staffer in question is understood to be the daughter of someone in an NFL front office .

“This conduct constitutes a clear violation of university policy, and UM maintains zero tolerance for such behavior,” the school’s athletic director, Warde Manuel, said in a statement, per ESPN .
