One of the top cornerback prospects in the 2026 NFL draft has announced that he's moving on to the next level.
South Carolina's Brandon Cisse, a projected first-round pick in the draft, officially declared on Thursday, per ESPN's Pete Thamel. The Sumter, South Carolina, native previously played at NC State but joined the Gamecocks as a transfer last offseason.
"It's definitely been a special feeling," Cisse said, per ESPN. "It's something I prayed for my whole life. I'm excited to fulfill my lifelong dream."
Cisse had an interception this season while also breaking up five passes and forcing a fumble. He was one of the top man corners this season in college football, allowing a sub-40% completion percentage while in coverage in 2025.
Cisse ranks as the No. 5 cornerback prospect on ESPN's Mel Kiper's big board, and he's the projected No. 29 pick in the draft by ESPN's Field Yates.
