Washington County police said they are looking for a married couple accused of living with a decomposing body for several months while continuing to cash the deceased person’s social security checks.

James Bebout, 69, and Debbie Bebout, 64, of Canton Township have been charged with felony theft, criminal conspiracy and abuse of a corpse, TribLive reported.

Back in January , police said they discovered the body of Michael Bebout, 64, James’ brother, lying in a bed in a home in Canton Township.

Officials said the body was in an advanced state of decomposition, and estimated it had been there for around six months.

In addition to the dead body, police said they also found dead animals and filth in the home.
