WASHINGTON, Dec 11 (Reuters) – Apple on Thursday persuaded a U.S. appeals ‍court to reverse parts of a court order requiring the iPhone maker to make some ‌changes to its ‌lucrative App Store to promote greater competition, while losing its effort to overturn a sweeping injunction.

The ruling by the San ‍Francisco-based 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said some ‍parts of an order in April holding Apple in contempt for violating a prior decision ‍were overbroad and must be modified. Still, the appeals ‍court ‍kept in place the lower judge’s contempt finding, and declined ‌to throw out an injunction won by Fortnite maker Epic Games.
