Ross County soybean farmer Scott Metzger will represent Ohio and soybean growers across the country in 2026 as he takes the helm as president of the American Soybean Association (ASA).

Alongside his family in Williamsport, Metzger farms more than 3,100 acres of soybeans, corn and wheat on a multi-generational family farm. Drawing on his day-to-day experience managing a diverse operation, he works to make sure farmers’ perspectives are represented in every policy discussion that impacts their livelihoods.

“I’ve always believed that when farmers work together, we can shape a stronger future for agriculture,” Metzger said. “Serving as ASA president is an opportunity to represent the interests of soybean growers from Ohio and across the country.”
