Six Catholic bishops from across California gathered at the Adelanto ICE Processing Center on Wednesday, Dec. 10, to celebrate Mass with detainees, offering spiritual support and solidarity to immigrants facing deportation. The visit was part of the California Catholic Conference’s pastoral outreach to migrants and refugees.

Following the service, the bishops held a press conference at Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, emphasizing the dignity of immigrants and the urgent need for humane treatment in detention facilities.

“We want those in detention to know they are not forgotten,” said Bishop Alberto Rojas of the Diocese of San Bernardino. “The Church walks with them in their uncertainty.”
