The series adaptation of the Carl Hiaasen novel “Skinny Dip” is on the move — with a major star attached.
Variety has learned that the project is now in development at Amazon Prime Video with Amanda Seyfried attached to play the lead role. It was previously reported that a series take on the novel was in the works at HBO Max (then just Max), though no actors were attached at that time.
Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis remain onboard as writers and executive producers, with Bill Lawrence also still executive producing via Doozer. Seyfried will executive produce in addition to starring, with Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer of Doozer executive producing along with Hiaasen. Warner Bros. Television, where Doozer is under an overall deal, is the studio.
