UPDATE: The Lake City Police Department is releasing more information on a shooting Wednesday afternoon.

William Charles Piar, 81 of Lake City, has been booked into the Goodhue County Jail for shooting a man multiple times. Police say the name of the victim is being withheld out of respect to him and his family while he recovers from his injuries.

The investigation is continuing.

LAKE CITY, Minn. - One man is in custody after a shooting in Lake City Wednesday afternoon.

Police say officers responded to a report of shots fired just before 1:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of North High St. and Lakeshore Dr., behind the Subway restaurant. Officers found a man holding a handgun who refused to comply with commands. An adult male victim was found inside the same building
