The trailer for the new "Supergirl" movie adaptation was released on Thursday.

Milly Alcock stars as Kara Zor-El, otherwise known as Supergirl, as she travels through the galaxy with her dog, Krypto, and an alien girl who is searching for the man who killed her father.

This Kara, however, is not the Kara audiences are familiar with if they are fans of previous "Supergirl" movies.

In this film, Kara has her own personal issues. Seeing her planet decimated and her parents die, she has resorted to a life of drinking and partying.

Alcock as Kara Zor-El was first introduced in the 2025 "Superman" movie, where she walks in drunk and thanks her cousin, Superman, for watching her dog. Krypto had a big role in the "Superman" filming, helping the heroes save the day.
