Many people will be heading out over the festive period for a cold-water dip. We've pulled together a list of some of the places you could go this year if you wanted to join in.

Christmas Day

Porthcawl

It's the Porthcawl Christmas Swim's 60th anniversary this year and since 1965 the Porthcawl Christmas Morning Swim has been raising money for local charities.

2025's event will start at 10:30am, for registrations and swimmers will enter the sea at 11:45am. You can register for the swim here.

This year's two big charities are 2Wish and Sir Gareth Edwards' Cancer Charity. There'll be carols at the beach, too and if you can't make it or don't fancy getting in the water, you can donate on the event's website, too.
