An Iowa man is accused of leaving the scene of an accident Tuesday night and attempting to bite and intimidate a police officer who arrested him.
Michael Neal, 34, of Sioux City, Iowa, was charged with felony counts of battery by bodily waste to a public safety officer and intimidation, along with misdemeanor counts of resisting arrest, operating while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident and false informing.
Police said a witness told them the driver of a black Infinity with Indiana plates, fled the scene after an accident about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Central Avenue and Brown Street, according to the probable cause affidavit. The accident caused an injury to a female motorist.
