Changes to a portion an ongoing North Tyneside housing development have been approved - with a loss of almost 40 new homes. Councillors have now given the go-ahead to altered plans on a portion of the Killingworth Moor project.
The changes were proposed by property developer Story Homes which purchased the land from the previous owners Northumberland Estates.
Story Homes’ changes include a change in the layout of the the site, culminating in the construction of 169 homes, down from the 207 originally agreed with Northumberland Estates for the first phase. Representatives for Story Homes told North Tyneside councillors the changes were required as Story Homes’ house designs were different to that of Northumberland Estates .
