The Boston Bruins could get a big piece of their blue line back on Thursday night.
Charlie McAvoy was added to the active roster ahead of Boston’s game against the Winnipeg Jets.
Coach Marco Sturm told reporters that McAvoy is a game-time decision, but it’s likely the defenseman will slot back into the lineup because he was activated from injured reserve.
“Just to see him out there, just the presence alone he brings on the ice and off the ice, in the locker room, it’s just a lot. I can see it, we can feel it. It is nice to have him back. Seeing that smile on his face, it’s been a while,” Sturm said . “It’s been a tough road for him. He’s our leader, so it is nice to have him back.”
