A baby soothing toy is being recalled after broken parts can pose a choking hazard, federal officials said.
Primark recalled about 1,330 two-packs of Little Bear Soother Clips, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Thursday, Dec. 11. The cloth straps include a wooden button that can detach and expose a sharp screw.
If the button comes loose, the screw can become a choking hazard and cause cuts. There have been five reported incidents, including one case when a screw was found in a baby's mouth and another when a child suffered cuts to their arm, according to CPSC.
Each clip features small bears on the fabric strap. The clips also have a product code, 991139699, printed on the back of the packaging.
The recalled clips were sold for about $5 between June and August 2025. They were available at Primark stores across the Northeast, as well as locations in Florida and Illinois.
Parents are urged to stop using the clips right away and return them to any Primark store for a full refund. Primark is an Irish fashion retailer and has its US headquarters in Boston.
You can learn more about the recall on Primark's website or by calling 617-946-3236.
