A Texas family is grieving the tragic death of their beloved dog, Luna.

Luna, a fluffy white Maltese, was playing in her backyard around 9 a.m. on Nov. 29 with one of her owners, Melissa Clark, when a bobcat abruptly attacked the small dog. The horrific encounter ended in tragedy, Melissa and her husband Paul Clark told local outlet WFAA , and their precious dog died later that night from her injuries.
