BLOOMINGTON —Bloomington Police have arrested a local woman after she allegedly called the department claiming she would kill people and planned to attack the Monroe County Central Emergency Dispatch Center with an explosive device.

The incident began on Tuesday, December 9, at approximately 1:05 p.m., when the Bloomington Police Department (BPD) Records Division received a threatening phone call. The caller, who did not identify herself, allegedly stated that she intended to kill people and launch an explosive device into the Dispatch Center before hanging up.

Moments later, the same woman reportedly called the Records Division again, this time demanding that the Dispatch Center be evacuated.

BPD officers were immediately dispatched to the Emergency Dispatch Center to conduct a safety
