MANCHESTER, N.H. —

Nearly a year after Gov. Kelly Ayotte announced that a commission would look at state spending and efficiency, the commission, nicknamed "COGE," has released its final report.

Ayotte's first executive order when she took office in January was to create the Commission on Government Efficiency, or COGE. It was a play on the Trump Administration's Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE.

Almost a year later, the governor's office has released the final report from COGE.

The 77-page report laid out a number of possible areas for improvement, including digitizing and modernizing certain systems – such as right-to-know requests – and better utilizing unused office space.
