DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) said a driver dragging barbed wire behind their car was arrested after leading deputies on a pursuit on November 6.
DCSO said a deputy was on patrol duty when he witnessed a vehicle driving while dragging 15 feet of barbed wire, sparking along the road. Deputies said the vehicle also had no license plate.
As the deputy followed the vehicle, they said it abruptly came to a stop with its hazards on, and as the deputy activated its lights, the vehicle drove away, still dragging the wire.
According to the sheriff’s office, the vehicle stopped for a second time and appeared to comply with the deputy before taking off at high speed.
