JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – Hanukkah lights will once again glow at the Beth Sholom synagogue and throughout the entire Jewish community in the coming days.
The holiday begins Sunday evening and lasts until Dec. 22. It commemorates the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem as part of the Maccabean Revolt against the Seleucid Empire during the second century B.C. ×
