A Harrisburg holiday tradition will be presented Sunday at Market Square Presbyterian Church , 20 S. Second St., by Arts on the Square.
“Carols by Candlelight: A Magnificent Christmas,” at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, features the 60-voice Sanctuary Choir, a 28-piece orchestra and organ performing John Rutter’s “Magnificat” along with ancient and modern holiday music.
The orchestra will play Leroy Anderson’s joyous “Sleigh Ride,” composed in 1948 and a perennial Christmas favorite.
Other music on the program will be Gustav Holst’s “Christmas Day” and “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” written by Broadway composer Meredith Willson in 1951.
