An Allentown man faces multiple charges for arranging online to have sex with a state agent he believed was a 12-year-old girl.

Kristien Diaz, 31, is charged with attempted rape of a child, attempted involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, attempted statutory sexual assault, two counts of unlawful contact with a minor, criminal use of a communication facility and attempted corruption of minors, according to a statement from Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday.

Diaz was arrested last week in Lehigh County when he arrived at the arranged meeting site.

Sunday said Diaz went online to find someone to help him identify a child for sexual activity, but the person he contacted was an agent in the attorney general’s office.
