1NEW YORK, NY – A 45-year-old man was stabbed multiple times Wednesday morning on the L train platform at the 14th Street–Union Square Station, police said.
The attack happened just before 10 a.m. as commuters crowded the northbound platform.
Authorities said the suspect fled on a southbound L train moments after the assault, escaping toward an unknown destination.
Victim hospitalized in stable condition
Investigators said the victim had just exited a northbound L train when he was approached by an unidentified man who stabbed him repeatedly in the back with a knife. EMS transported the injured man to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, where he was listed in stable condition.
