FLORENCE, Ala. ( WAFF /Gray News) - A couple in Alabama who saved a baby from a burning car during their second date spent their third date collecting breast milk donations for the now-motherless child.
Zoie Campbell, 21, and her boyfriend, Samuel Brooks, 25, gathered coolers of donated breast milk Wednesday night from mothers across several counties for 7-month-old LJ.
“This is our 4th and final cooler of breast milk that Lauderdale County and Colbert County moms are willing to donate,” Campbell said.
LJ’s mother, 29-year-old Kayleigh Page, died in a crash four days ago.
The crash happened Sunday night on Highway 157 when Page’s Tesla ran off the road, hit a tree, and caught fire, trapping her and her baby inside.
