Talihina wins first Oklahoma high school football title since 1966

EDMOND — Soaked from head to toe, Kelly Gravitt turned toward the Talihina faithful and thrust both fists into the air.

Minutes later, he returned with the gold ball in hand. Gravitt lifted it high as family, friends and staffers — many of whom drove nearly 200 miles from the tight-knit town in the southeast corner of Oklahoma — erupted in celebration.
