CLEVELAND, Ohio — A Canton man has surrendered to police after warrants were issued for his arrest, police said.
Cam’ryn Croston, 19, of Canton turned himself in at the Stark County Jail on Wednesday. He faces charges of murder and aggravated burglary in the September killing of Jake Young, 41, Canton police said in a statement.
On Sept. 2, Canton police were dispatched to 1647 St. Elmo Ave. after a 911 caller reported that a neighbor told her the man next door was dead.
The 911 caller told dispatchers someone had kicked Young’s back door in. When police arrived at the scene, they talked to a man who said he found Young dead in his home after coming to check on him.
The witness told police he saw Young’s doorbell camera ripped off and thrown in the front yard, according to police.
