Shawne Merriman’s having a hard time believing one of his former teammates played while drunk.
The three-time Chargers Pro Bowler told The Post this week he was floored to learn Quentin Jammer had randomly admitted Monday that he logged snaps in the 2011 season “completely s–tfaced.”
Merriman — who played with the Jammer in San Diego from 2005 to 2010 — said he was stunned by the revelation, as he had known the defensive back to be a model citizen who had “never been late to anything.”
Additionally, Merriman said the Bolts’ 2002 first-round draft pick was arguably one of the three most gifted athletes he’s ever been on a team with, just behind Vernon Davis and Antonio Cromartie.
