FLINT – The Flint City Bucks will be competing in the 2026 U.S. Open Cup, and the club just might host a match on its own turf.
The Bucks announced the club officially submitted a bid application to host a first-round matchup against a professional team.
If accepted, the matchup would take place at Grand Blanc High School’s Don Batchelor Field, which is located in downtown Grand Blanc and holds 6,000 people. Don Batchelor Field meets all U.S. soccer standards needed to host a game, and the Bucks plan to apply to host all tournament games. Later-round games could relocate to Waterford Kettering’s Atwood Stadium.
