SALT LAKE CITY — In a major move to help homeless resource centers in Salt Lake County, The Larry H. and Gail Miller Family Foundation donated $10 million on Thursday to keep one of the homeless centers running.

The donation is going to the non-profit group “Shelter the Homeless,” they work with several of the homeless shelters in Salt Lake County, including the Gail Miller Resource Center in Salt Lake’s Ballpark neighborhood. The money is making sure the center with the Miller family namesake stays open.

Gail Miller made that announcement Thursday morning alongside the Salt Lake City Mayor, and leaders of local homeless advocates, and others.
