Bee Cave Police Officer Jonathan Taylor was honored as the Officer of the Year during the department’s annual awards dinner Dec. 9 organized by the Bee Cave Police Benevolent Foundation.

Taylor, now in his third year with the force, is the “epitome of what a well-rounded police officer is,” interim Police Chief Bill Pitmon said.

“It's definitely what we look for, what we recruit for,” Pitmon said. “He's the kind of guy that can help you get groceries to your car or protect you from your worst nightmare. And that's exactly what we need out here. We need that versatility.”
