A case before the Ohio Supreme Court could dramatically change the landscape for dog owners who rent their homes, potentially forcing landlords across the state to ban pets entirely.
The dog-loving hosts of the Today in Ohio podcast worry the result might be far fewer potential homes for dogs in the state.
“The Ohio Supreme Court is taking up a 2020 case involving a Montgomery county mobile home park,” said Lisa Garvin. “There was an incident there where a child was bitten in the face by a tenant’s dog in a common area. The kid’s mother sued the landlord.”
An appeals court that the mobile home park was liable for the damage.
