Gunner Stockton began this season with questions in some circles about how he would handle being Georgia football ’s starting quarterback. He is finishing it up with a trip to the College Football Playoff and as a top 10 finisher in Heisman Trophy voting.
Stockton finished seventh in this year’s voting, according to a reveal on Thursday, Dec. 11, on ESPN of those that finished after the top four vote getters.
The redshirt junior is the second Georgia quarterback to finish in the top 10 in the last four seasons. Stetson Bennett was No. 4 in 2022.
Stockton finished in the same spot as Georgia cornerback/wide receiver Champ Bailey did in 1998.
