SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
Calfiornia Gov. Gavin Newsom is set to deliver his state of the state address on Jan. 8 at 10:30 a.m.
For the first time since 2020, the governor will give the speech during a joint session of the California Legislature inside the Assembly's chamber at the state capitol.
"As we begin another year arm-in-arm with the people of California, it's time to accelerate our work to achieve a shared vision of stability, safety, and prosperity for all," the governor wrote in his letter to legislative leaders in order to request the date.
