CONCORD, N.C. — Authorities have formally charged a teen they say was involved in a shooting at a Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Concord in November.
A 15-year-old suspect was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, two counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied property in operation inflicting serious bodily injury, and inciting a riot. The teen was charged on Thursday after being released from the hospital. He was injured in the Nov. 21 shooting.
Petitions were filed with the North Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice for his arrest. The suspect's name was not released due to his age.
