LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Surveillance video at the Lake Charles Fiery Crab shows a DoorDash driver taking tip money left on a customer’s table.

Employees at Fiery Crab say the money disappeared from a table after a customer left their tip. When staff couldn’t find it, they checked their surveillance cameras.

“Yesterday, December 10, around 1:30 to 1:45 p.m., the customers left a $10 tip for one of our waitresses,” General Manager Efrain Guzman said.

The video showed a DoorDash driver entering for a pickup order. After heading to the counter, she stopped at the table.

“A DoorDash driver saw a $10 tip on the table, and I guess thought it was a good opportunity to take that money. We didn’t find out until after the waitress brought it to our attention that she didn’t see the money on he
