Northern wrestling has now won its first eight matches this season, taking down Hershey 50-17 Thursday.
Northern started the match with four straight wins. Carter Rapsey picked up a 6-0 win over Mason Salsgiver at 107 pounds. Barrick Braylon added a 5-0 win over Marshall Belfer at 114 pounds. Tristin Cruz beat Gavin Worley 5-0 at 121 pounds. Braden Wivell pinned David Smith for a 6-0 win at 127 pounds.
Joshua Smith earned Hershey’s first win, beating Logan Bush 6-0 at 133 pounds. Alex Tagliati then beat Braxton Gingerich 3-0 at 139 pounds.
Hudson McDade put Northern back on the board with a 6-0 win over Henry Johnstone-Butcher at 145 pounds. Landen Geidel earned a 4-0 win over Ishan Dangal at 152 pounds. Brayden Slugg earned a fall over Joseph Parks at 160 pounds.
