Bengaluru: The State Cabinet on Thursday approved a Rs 307-crore facelift for the Outer Ring Road (ORR) stretch between the Silk Board junction and KR Pura metro station.
The 17.01-km stretch will be developed comprehensively to improve commuting quality and ease congestion.
According to officials from Bengaluru Smart Infrastructure Limited (B-SMILE), the upgraded corridor will feature a 10-lane configuration — three main carriageway lanes and two service road lanes on each side. “We also plan to revive the defunct bus priority lane to help decongest traffic,” a senior official said.
