President Droupadi Murmu on Thursday reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to Manipur’s peace, development, and inclusive growth while addressing a civic reception in Imphal during her two-day visit to the state.

In a speech marked by reassurance and optimism, the President said she was “deeply touched” by the warmth of the people of Manipur and praised the state’s legacy of courage, cultural richness and extraordinary resilience.

During the day, President Murmu inaugurated a series of major projects across sectors such as tribal development, agriculture, infrastructure, electricity, drinking water, education, healthcare, sports, and tourism. These initiatives, she said, are aimed at improving connectivity, generating employment, empowering women, and accelerating economic activity.
