The School Board of Philadelphia is looking to save some money by possibly transferring empty buildings to the city.
The board passed a resolution on Thursday, Dec. 11 that will allow them to consider passing ownership of vacant and surplus school buildings to the city of Philadelphia.

According to the school board, these unused buildings use its financial resources that could be used at the district's 300 in-use buildings.
