ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Larry Lee, a longtime teacher and coach for Rockcastle County Schools, died Tuesday.

Lee served the district for 25 years as both an educator and coach.

The school district released a statement about Lee’s death, saying " he was far more than an excellent teacher, he was a mentor, a coach, a colleague and a friend whose influence reached far beyond the walls of the classroom."

“His passion and his unwavering commitment to his students shaped countless lives over the course of his 25 year career,” the district said.

Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
