Akhanda 2 released in theatres worldwide today, featuring Aadhi Pinisetty in an antagonist role. Coincidentally, his another film Drive, a thriller, was also set to release on the same day.

However, the morning shows of Drive were cancelled by theatres. At one of the cinemas, the screening was called off because there were not enough ticket bookings. The management confirmed that the show was cancelled due to negligible occupancy.

The same trend continued across other scheduled shows, with none recording strong bookings. Minimal promotions and the overwhelming buzz around Akhanda 2 appear to have pushed Drive off the radar.
