Lululemon Athletica Inc on Thursday announced a major leadership transition as CEO Calvin McDonald will be stepping down on January 31. This comes as the athletic wear brand struggles with a challenging year for sales. McDonald, who has led the Vancouver-based company since 2018, will continue as a senior adviser until March 31 2026 to help ensure a smooth leadership transition, AP reported. The board said it is working with a leading executive search firm to find McDonald’s successor. In the interim, board chair Marti Morfitt will take on the role of executive chair immediately, overseeing the company’s growth strategy during the transition.
