The Toronto Maple Leafs’ injury troubles show no signs of slowing down. The team has been dealing with problems in goal and on defense for weeks, and the list continues to grow. Anthony Stolarz remains out indefinitely . On the blue line, Toronto is already missing Chris Tanev and Brandon Carlo , two of their most reliable defensive players.

The situation got worse earlier in the week when Dakota Mermis suffered a lower-body injury after taking a knee-on-knee hit from Tampa Bay’s Gage Goncalves. And on Thursday night, the Leafs were delivered yet another blow during their matchup against the San Jose Sharks.

Oliver Ekman-Larsson had to be helped off the ice in the third period of Toronto’s 3-2 overtime loss after Sharks forward Adam Gaudette fell on him near the boards.
