GUWAHATI: Assam Police’s Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Friday filed a 3,500 page charge sheet in a Guwahati court in connection with the death of celebrated singer Zubeen Garg, who died under mysterious circumstances while swimming in the sea in Singapore on September 19. He had travelled to the island nation to participate in the 4th North East India Festival (NEIF). During its probe, the SIT examined around 300 witnesses in connection with the case. Urging people to trust the judicial process, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had on Thursday said he was confident that justice would be delivered.
