A food critic who makes an "annual pilgrimage" to try the Wetherspoon Christmas menu was left surprised during his most recent visit. YouTuber Gary Eats admitted he was far from satisfied with the festive selection in both 2023 and 2024.

This led Gary to suggest that the Christmas menu "needed changing" before his trip to the King's Tun in Kingston. He notes the menu "hasn't changed much" since his appearance 12 months earlier. Nevertheless, he chose the sliced turkey breast and winter vegetables - observing it "doesn't actually say it's a Christmas dinner" - priced at £15.52 alongside a pint of Guinness. Gary additionally selected an 11in pizza topped with chicken, bacon, stuffing and brie.
