Anantnag, Dec 12 : The Food Safety Department Anantnag has imposed a strict ban on the sale of PRIYAGOLD BUTTER DELITE biscuits (Batch No. E25KPO2FB) after laboratory tests confirmed the product to be unsafe for consumption.

According to the Designated Officer, Food Safety Anantnag as per news agency Kashmir News Corner (KNC), the action follows the sampling of the biscuit brand by the Food Safety Officer during routine market inspections.

The sample was sent to the National Food Laboratory, Ghaziabad, where analysts, in Report No. JK-665/DEC/25/786 dated 05-12-2025, detected sulphite levels exceeding the maximum permissible limits.
