Residents say they went without running water for several hours as a busy Trafford road flooded. Engineers have been working to resolve a water burst on Flixton Road, in Urmston , since last night (December 11).

The problem remained this morning (Friday), with much of the road still covered in water. Persistent rain since the early hours of this morning, which is expected to continue in Urmston until around lunchtime, has not helped the situation on the ground.

Several Urmston residents reported being without running water on social media overnight following the burst. Some residents have continued to flag issues about their supply this morning, including low pressure and water appearing to be brown.
