The latest version of Congress’s annual defense spending bill includes several provisions for Hawaii and the Pacific, and one major change covering land lease negotiations in the state.

The U.S. House of Representatives passed the National Defense Authorization Act on Wednesday, authorizing a massive $900 billion in military spending, including pay raises for troops, new weapons and range of other provisions. It passed by a vote of 312-112, with 94 Democrats and 18 Republicans opposing the bill.

The NDAA goes back to the Senate which is expected to pass it next week, according to Reuters, then to President Donald Trump for his signature.
