Sir Chris Hoy, the six-time Olympic cycling champion, is currently receiving treatment for terminal prostate cancer. He was first diagnosed with the disease in 2023, and it later turned out to have spread to his bones. But the hobby he discovered to make the most of his days during his cancer treatment, mountainbiking, has now caused him further pain.
According to The Standard , Hoy recently crashed from his mountain bike, while he continues to receive treatment for cancer.
Describing the accident, Hoy said, “Worse things happen. I’ve been riding bikes for 43 years, and it’s the worst crash I’ve ever had. I’m pretty lucky that’s the worst one I’ve had in all those years of riding.” So, while he was out mountain biking, the 49-year-old ended up smashing his leg.
